Public Sector Suppliers - Procuring from Government Entities
In accordance with Treasurer's Instructions 1120 and 1226, agencies may procure goods and services directly from Tasmanian inner-Budget agencies without undertaking the prescribed procurement processes.
However, where a request for tender has been issued or quotes have been sought, agencies can only accept offers from other government entities, including Government Business Enterprises and State-owned Companies, where the price reflects full cost attribution, unless there are no private sector suppliers.
Offers from government entities must be supported by written confirmation that the price has been calculated on a full cost attribution basis. Offers from government entities that do not meet this condition must be declined.
For guidance in relation to full cost attribution requirements, contact Treasury at email@example.com.
