Direct/Limited Submission SourcingTreasurer's Instructions 1114 and 1217 provide, where specified circumstances exist, for approval of alternative procurement processes being direct sourcing or seeking limited submissions. The circumstances in which approval may be granted are detailed in the Instructions. The authority to determine whether a direct/limited submission sourcing circumstance exists and to approve a direct/limited submission sourcing process cannot be delegated by those authorised to make such decisions in the Instruction to any other officers. Approval cannot be granted retrospectively. See Guidelines for Direct/Limited Submission Sourcing and TI 1115 Contract Extensions for further information. In addition, Treasurer's Instructions 1127 and 1231 provide that agencies, at their Head of Agency's discretion, can choose to either seek quotations or purchase directly from businesses that predominantly exist to provide the services of persons with a disability. Further information is available from Purchasing from Businesses that Employ Persons with Disabilities.
