How can I become known as a supplier?
|
See getting known for a number of useful ideas on how to market
your company to government agencies. Suppliers of goods and services should
register with the Industry Capability Network Tasmania
(ICNTAS). ICNTAS provides buyers, from both the public
and private sectors, with the names of local suppliers that can
provide what they want. See ICNTAS for further information. In addition, local businesses can register
with BIZTAS, a free service offered by the Tasmanian
Government to help local businesses succeed and become known
locally, nationally and internationally. Government buyers
regularly use BIZTAS to search for businesses that may be able to
quote or tender for Government contracts. See BIZTAS for further information.

Do the Government purchasing policies apply to all agencies?
|
No. Click here to review which agencies are required to follow these purchasing
guidelines.
Why are national suppliers used when there is a policy to use local suppliers?
|
Enhancing local opportunities is not the same
as giving preference to local suppliers. In some cases, economies
